Description
Dynaudio LYD 48 Right Studio Monitor
Astonishing accuracy across the board
Precision, power… and properly honest reproduction. With a pair of LYD 8s taking charge of your music, you can be assured a pitch-perfect performance
With its 8in MSP woofer and state-of-the-art DSP, LYD 8 provides the kind of performance, precision and bass heft that dreams (and maybe hit albums) are made of.
Like the rest of the range, these nearfield monitors let you tune their sound for their position in the room, feature handmade drivers, and contain advanced Class-D amps.
Precision monitoring you can trust
Dynaudio’s game-changing ‘LYD 48’ has all the power to take your monitoring accuracy – and your mixed- to the next level of professionalism. Standing proudly as the flagship of Dynaudio’s ‘LYD’ range, the LYD 48 uses the same strengths from its 2-way counterparts.
With a 2-way design however, the woofer has to work extremely hard to reproduce the low frequencies alongside a portion of the midrange frequencies. As a 3-way tri-amplified studio monitor, the LYD 48 effortlessly reaches superior performance across-the-board.
Another unavoidable disadvantage is that the crossover to the tweeter is happening within that important midrange – where typically the vocal tracks are at their most vibrant, where the girth of the guitar lies, and in general, where mixes either shine or fall flat. A dedicated midrange driver delivers huge benefits, such as solid bass extension, greater midrange purity, lower distortion, higher SPL capability, and overall accuracy.
Perfectly suited to both nearfield and midfield applications, the Dynaudio LYD 48 is certain to aid you in making better, clearer recordings.
Where you need it most
Dynaudio's custom hand-made drivers
are legendary, the LYD 48 features the same non-fatiguing drivers and
each is powered by a dedicated state of the art Class D amplifier.
Delivering 80W of power for the LF driver, 50W for the MF and 50W for the HF per monitor with selectable input sensitivity, "Standby Mode" and a 96kHz/24bit signal path the LYD 48 does not disappoint.
With the same DSP technology from the rest of the LYD series this allows the 'Bass Extension' option to extend or curtail the low frequency response by 10Hz where needed, while both 'Position' and 'Sound Balance' controls ensure the best possible performance for any environment.
