RME’s Matthias Carstens accepting the Musikmesse International Press Awards “Best Recording Hardware” Award for the RME Fireface UFX
This year’s winner of the M.I.P.A for the “Best Recording Hardware” was the Fireface UFX, the new flagship interface from the highly successful Fireface range from RME. The RME Fireface UFX features 60 channels of audio, USB and Firewire connectivity, digitally controlled high-end preamps, reference class converters and full 192 kHz operation, and of course now features the ability to record all 30 inputs direct to disc via USB.
Over 100 industry magazines worldwide vote for the best musical instruments and audio equipment in more than 40 categories for the M.I.P.A. (Musikmesse International Press Awards) every year. Often viewed as the Oscars of our industry, the M.I.P.A. is a highly regarded prize and is presented at a special awards ceremony at Frankfurt Musikmesse which is now in its 12th year. The magazines which include publications such as Pro Sound News (UK), Mix Magazine (USA) and Pro Media News (Germany) have the tough job of selecting their favorite products from over 300 manufactures.
