19th January 2012 2:45 pm

iPad RME Fireface UCX at NAMM 2012Today sees the unveiling of another revolutionary product from RME. The Fireface UCX is a highly integrated pro audio solution in an ultra-compact format for studio and live applications. In this respect the Fireface UCX sets a new record for space-usage with 300 components more than in the already well-stocked Fireface UC! RME have included the latest technology introduced in the multi-award winning flagship Fireface UFX as well as some new innovations into a half 19″ housing for mobile usability.

And the even bigger news is that the Fireface UCX is the first professional audio interface to include a class compliant mode allowing it to work with Apple’s iPad and iPad2. The UCX gives the iPad the professional analogue I/O it lacks. Superb preamps, balanced line outputs and a hi-power headphone output. Plus level adjustment, reverb, echo, EQ, dynamics and zero latency monitoring. All digitally via USB with no limitation in quality.
