Dan Henry is one of the excellent sales guys at Absolute Music’s new store down on the south coast in Poole. And he has just put together a very good video showing us all how to set up the RME Babyface in “class compliant” mode with an iPad.
The RME Babyface has been “class compliant” for some time now, but with Apple’s recent announcement that multichannel playback is available in IOS6 and with many apps now offering 8 channels or more, the RME Babyface has become a genuine solution for those who want to use the iPad as a multitrack DAW in the studio or live. And as mentioned in news from NAMM, this has also allowed RME to extend the 8 channel CC mode of the RME Fireface UCX to all existing 18 channels with firmware 220/4. The RME Fireface UCX’s SPDIF and ADAT I/O can now also be used with without limitation.
And if you want an iPad set up with a RME Babyface or RME Fireface UCX, then why not contact Dan at Absolute Music? He obviously knows his bits from his apps!
