The new RME ADI-2 Pro was launched at Musikmesse 2016 in Frankfurt in March. We caught up with RME head of design Matthias Carstens to take us through this new reference-class converter AD/DA Converter.
The ADI-2 Pro is the feature packed new update to the RME ADI-2, boasting a range of functionality to make this the ideal solution for musicians, engineers and hifi enthusiasts who demand the highest audio quality available. RME's latest conversion technology provides precision audio quality, with sample rates up to an unprecedented 768kHz.
A 30-band frequency analyser is displayed on the new IPS display, which can be easily seen from any viewing angle. Along with individual level meters for both stereo channels, the display also features RMS and Peak level information, giving you an incredibly detailed analysis of your audio signal from the unit itself.
The onboard DSP provides each channel with its own dedicated EQ, designed to give you options for both room acoustics and headphone correction. This means that whatever speakers or headphones you connect, you can make allowances for any frequency bias from the RME ADI-2 Pro itself. Your settings can also be stored for future recall.
