Lauten have announced the release of a 10dB attenuator for their Series Black LA-120 microphones, plus a set of quality suspension bands to accompany the Signature Series spider mounts
Premium microphone manufacturer Lauten Audio has just announced the creation of two new accessories for their high-end studio microphones, which will be shown for the first time at the Winter NAMM show 2017. Owners of the Series Black LA-120 small diaphragm condenser microphones will now have the option of adding a pair of 10dB attenuator Pad adapters, whereas owners of Lauten’s Atlantis FC-387, Clarion FC-357 and Oceanus LT-381 Signature Series can further reduce vibration and noise with the newly designed suspension mount bands for their microphone's spider shock mount.
LA-120 10dB Attenuation Pad Adapter
Sold as a pair, the Pad adapters provide 10dB of attenuation to the recorded signal, giving an additional versatility when using the LA-120s on sources with a high SPL, such as drums or guitar amplifiers. With an increased maximum SPL handling from 130 to 140dB SPL, an LA-120 with the Pad adapter will be able to handle just about any job a recording engineer can throw at it. The adapters are 2.7cm in length, increasing the length of the LA-120 to 18.4cm (from its stock length of 15.9cm) when installed. Availability is expected by the end of 1st quarter 2017.
High Quality Shock Mount Suspension Bands – Made in the USA
The shock mount bands are a premium quality optional upgrade for the shock mounts of the Lauten Audio Atlantis FC-387, Clarion FC-357 and Oceanus LT-381 Signature Series microphones. Custom-made in the United States, the bands are produced from ultra-high quality elastic cord and feature a heavy-duty nylon jacket to create maximum elasticity and longevity. Once fitted to Lauten’s spider shock mount, the bands help to reduce unwanted noise and provide excellent protection against vibration. The bands measure 22cm in length for the Atlantis and Clarion spider mounts, and 29cm for the Oceanus spider mount, and ship as a pair.
The shock mount bands are available as an optional upgrade and are user installable, with shipping expected to begin immediately after the Winter NAMM show.
