RME Babyface Pro FS
The RME Babyface Pro FS is a professional 24-Channel, USB bus-powered audio interface with pristine sound quality; fantastic wordclock accuracy courtesy of the new ‘FS’ (femtosecond) clocking circuitry; and ultra-low latency performance on Mac, PC and iPad.
Comprehensive monitoring, mixing and routing controls are offered by the FPGA-based TotalMix FX mixer, all of which is controllable via the dedicated TotalMix FX software controller, including wirelessly with an iPad or second computer via the free TotalMix Remote app (Mac/PC/iPad).
The front panel provides highly accurate metering for both inputs and outputs, along with quick access to gain and level controls, and additional user-definable function keys for tasks such as Mono On/Off, Mute, Dim, Level Recall, Talkback, and loading saved mixer states (Snapshots).
The unit is also expandable via the optcial ADAT I/O (also S/PDIF compatible), allowing for the connection of external microphone preamps and AD/DA converters, adding an additional eight analogue inputs and eight analogue outputs.

Lauten Audio LS-308
The LS-308 is a problem solver – a microphone designed specifically for when isolation is needed, but difficult to achieve.
Part of Lauten’s Synergy Series, this one-of-a-kind, side address condenser mic hears like a laser, sounds like a ribbon, and is able to withstand a staggering 135dB of SPL without internal padding. Track electric guitars in front of a live drum kit, or the bottom of a snare drum with astonishing isolation and dynamic range.
With 270 degrees of off-axis rejection, the LS-308 allows you to confidently capture loud, impactful sounds live without the need to replace toms or re-track guitars due to bleed.
Creating a microphone with such strong off-axis rejection had a unique timbral side-effect — a sound similar to a ribbon microphone, but without the fragility. This classic timbre can be further shaped via two built-in analogue filters, allowing for immediate sound-shaping right at the source.
The LS-308 signal path is finalised with high resolution, low distortion polypropylene capacitors and resistors, a US made low-noise FET, and a custom wound output transformer. The result is a massively impactful sound with unmatched isolation and SPL handling.
