Take Control Of Your DAW
Lightweight, durable and easily transportable, the Platform Nano features a single touch-sensitive, 100mm motorised fader with 10-Bit resolution, for precise control when setting levels and recording automation.High-speed connectivity is delivered via a USB 3 Type B connector, which functions as a MIDI port to the connected computer and compatible DAW software, whilst also providing power to the Platform Nano itself (USB bus-powered).
A selection of illuminated, colour-coded buttons gives you quick access to functions like solo, mute and record arm; playback controls (play, stop, fast forward, rewind, loop on/off); zooming in/out; and track buttons for easy selection of individual channels and banking (shifting in groups of eight channels at a time).
Other features include a jog-wheel for fast navigation of your projects; dual-function rotary controls (rotate and select) for panning, aux send levels, EQ etc; and a backlit LCD for displaying time information, as well as names and control values for each channel.
Hands-On Control With Your Favourite DAW
The Platform Nano supports the Mackie MCU (Mackie Control Universal) and Mackie HUI (Human User Interface) protocols, for seamless integration with all compatible music production software. Overlays are included for use with all of the most popular DAWs, including Ableton Live, Adobe Audition, Bitwig, Cubase/Nuendo, Digital Performer, FL Studio, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Reaper, Reason, Samplitude, Sonar, and Studio One.A User-Define Mode also enables you to create your own customised MIDI-maps, using Icon’s free iMap Software. Each button and encoder (along with the motorised fader) can be programmed by the user to perfectly suit any task, opening up a variety of potential uses in the studio. As such, adventurous users could assign the motorised fader or encoder knobs to control functions of plug-ins and virtual instruments.
On the rear panel, two 1/4-inch inputs allow for control via footswitches. Mobile battery power and wireless Bluetooth operation are also possible via the optional Icon PN-1 module (coming soon), allowing for power via a rechargeable battery when using the Platform Nano on the go. An inbuilt Kensington lock also provides a level of security.
