Ferrofish firmware v3.0 brings remote control via Dante capabilities
German AD/DA specialists Ferrofish have announced the release of firmware v3.0 for their A32 Dante and Pulse 16 DX multi-channel converters.
Designed for use in professional studio, live audio and broadcast applications, Ferrofish offer both 16 and 32-channel options with support for Audinate’s popular audio networking format.
And now with the release of firmware v3.0, both the 16-channel Ferrofish Pulse 16 DX and 32-channel Ferrofish A32 Dante can be fully remote controlled via any dante network via Ferrofish’s free RemoteFish controller app. This includes users of Mac OS Big Sur and Catalina, on both Intel and M1 Macs.
Synthax UK’s Broadcast Sales Manager Simon Roome says, “The addition of remote control over Dante is a game changer for the Ferrofish A32 Dante and Pulse 16 DX. This feature adds an extra layer of versatility, as all of the controls that have always been available using the front panel – or the RemoteFish app over USB – can now be accessed via ethernet over the Dante network.”
“Any adjustments that have traditionally been made in the boxes’ location can now be remote controlled from another area of the venue, or from a completely different location.”
