Due to the nature of the products we sell, we operate a strict fraud screening process and therefore we are only able to deliver to the billing address.

In the event of a delay, we will contact you either by email or telephone as soon as reasonably possible.

While 99% of UK locations are valid for next day/Saturday delivery, there are a few remote locations which are not covered.

Synthax Audio (UK) cannot deliver outside of the UK and Republic of Ireland*.

*RME products cannot be shipped to the Republic of Ireland.

Missed Deliveries

If you are not in to receive the order at the time delivery is attempted, a card will normally be left to notify you of the missed delivery attempt. This will allow you to either telephone the courier company to arrange a re-delivery at a more convenient time or collect it from your local courier depot or Royal Mail sorting office. For security reasons, all items require a signature.

If for any reason the item is returned to us (e.g. incorrect address specified, multiple failed delivery attempts), then we will inform you immediately by email as soon as we receive the item. From this point forth, you will be given a choice whether you wish us to re-dispatch the item or cancel the order. Please refer to our Cancellations & 14 Day Returns Procedure for more details. For items where delivery failed through no fault of Synthax Audio (UK), you will be liable for the original shipping charge, any courier surcharges and any subsequent delivery charges.

Late Deliveries or Dispatch

We are able to ship almost every order in the specified timescale. However, in very rare circumstances there can be an unforeseen delay. If this does happen, we will make it our priority to get your order dispatched from our warehouse as soon as reasonably possible.

There are also rare cases, beyond our control, when the delivery company itself has a problem which causes a delay in transit. In these situations we will do our utmost to liaise with the relevant delivery company to ensure delivery is completed as swiftly as possible.

Consequential Loss for Late Deliveries

If a delivery is late, then we will provide a refund of any delivery fee that we charged you. We do not provide financial compensation to cover consequential losses, e.g. for time taken off work to receive a delivery, or if the item is intended as a gift and you have to purchase the same item from a more expensive retailer.

Description

RME M1620 Pro (Milan/AVB)

RME proudly introduces the M-1620 Pro, a state-of-the-art device that converts 16 analogue line-level signals (per channel switchable up to +24 dBu) to and from MADI, ADAT®, and Milan-compatible AVB network technology. This innovative unit is designed with a newly developed front panel that combines LED level meters with a display and includes two separate headphone outputs for monitoring - all within a single-height 19-inch rack device. Cutting-edge converters and flexible internal routing place it at the forefront of any audio network.

Reliability and Redundancy

RME prioritizes reliability by equipping the M-1620 Pro with built-in redundancy. This includes dual network and dual MADI connections, along with a monitored DC input in addition to the internal AC power supply. A unique system clearly signals when an issue arises, ensuring seamless operation. With full stand-alone capability, users can adjust device settings directly on the unit for quick modifications or to recall entire user-defined presets.

Advanced Features

The M-1620 Pro allows manual configuration of the converter’s aliasing filters for optimal impulse and frequency response. Jitter on digital input signals is effectively reduced with SteadyClock FS.  Separate Word Clock BNC and coaxial MADI connectors, with optional optical MADI via an SFP module, allow the device to be easily integrated into existing infrastructure.

With Milan...

The Milan-certified model transmits and receives up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96 @ 96 kHz, 64 @ 192 kHz) with precise, fixed latency across a deterministic network. It reveals its status and configurable options to controllers using the open IEEE 1722.1 (ATDECC) standard and is compatible with the new Milan Manager.

SteadyClock FS

The RME M-1620 Pro also features RME's latest digital clocking and jitter rejection technology, 'SteadyClock FS'.

Originally developed for RME's award-winning ADI-2 Pro FS range of high-end converters, SteadyClock FS reduces intrinsic jitter to a new all-time low, when converting to and from analogue over all digital formats.

All clock modes provide excellent performance and astonishingly high-quality analogue conversion, allowing you to hear your mix exactly as it is.

What's more, RME's digital format conversion occurs without any loss to the signal, and SteadyClock FS ensures your sonic image will never experience any kind of degradation, ensuring the soundstage is replicated to the fullest depth and clarity.

Remote Control and Integration

Both models feature a JSON-based API for full integration and remote control from either network port or USB. A web-based remote application offers convenient access to the 304x308 channel routing matrix (240x244 for M-1620 Pro D).
